The MVP is the new reactive hybrid addition to Roto Grip’s HP2 lineup, joining the Winner and Winner Solid. This ball uses the new Neutron NXT core design, which was modeled off Neutron core from the Wrecker. The cover is a new hybrid formulation called VTC-H19. Equal parts pearl and solid, this hybrid cover comes out of the box at a 1500 grit polished finish. The MVP is extremely clean through the front of the lane and then makes a strong move off the breakpoint, but it needs to see plenty of dry in order to create its big downlane move.
Inside, you will find the newly created Neutron NXT Core. The basis of this core was the original Neutron Core from yesteryear that was found in the Wrecker series of balls. We wanted a higher rg core that tumbles down the lane while still providing plenty of motion at the breakpoint.
The newly formulated VTC-H19 Hybrid cover is the next advancement from the VTC-H18 Hybrid cover used on the Hustle HSB. This new formula will provide even more responsiveness to friction down lane than previous hybrids used in the HP2 & HP1 lines.
Bottom line the logic behind this ball was to produce a great performing ball in the HP2 line. Between the new core and the new cover, we are happy to announce we achieved what we set out to do. This ball will be ideal as a transition ball when the stronger balls become too early. And it will also be excel on those higher friction lane surfaces and conditions as well.
VTC-H19 Coverstock
This new and improved coverstock takes our latest hybrid cover and gives it even more responsiveness down lane.
Neutron NXT Core
From conception to present day, the Neutron NXT Core stands to be one of, if not these most performance in its price point. Medium to higher RG provide tumble and length, while the medium core differential provides change of direction down lane where you need it most.
