Intent
Some occasions are so special that they need to be recognized with a special edition bowling ball. Storm’s 30th anniversary of being in the bowling business is one of those occasions. What started in 1985 as just a small manufacturer of the world’s best urethane ball cleaner called U-Clean U-Score™ has transformed into Storm Bowling Products, one of the most recognizable brands in our sport.
A tribute to the original Teal Storm, the new Teal 30 by Storm honors our first reactive bowling ball brought to the market. If you remember, the transition from traditional urethanes to reactives was a huge technological leap. All of a sudden, players who had a hard time seeing a strong backend reaction were able to hook it like their idols. With this breakthrough in coverstock chemistry, the friction in the back of the lane increased dramatically, and the bowling world has never looked back. Glanced back maybe, if you consider the Pitch Black, but reactives undoubtedly now dominate the marketplace.

Design
Storm’s Master™ line consists of some of the strongest symmetrical balls on the market, designed for bowlers trying to master their craft. With core features aimed at pushing the limits of radius of gyration (RG) and differential, this line has created a name for itself. The Master line is known for having balls with a strong arcing motion, as well as defined pocket-entry angles. Price truly does equal performance with this lineup!
The cherished Centripetal™ Core powering the new Teal 30 has already proven itself throughout the Marvel series and more. As with other Master line balls, this shape is a lower RG, meaning that the center of gravity is located closer to the center of the ball, facilitating a faster spin rate and adding more revolutions. And who doesn’t want more revolutions?

Encasing the core of the new Teal 30 is one of Storm most popular shells of all time, the famous R2S™ Pearl reactive shell which is clean through the heads and very aggressive on the drier backends. It comes highly polished with the famed Storm factory finish that yields a smooth, tacky finish that cannot be duplicated. It’s that special, just like Storm.

What’s also special is the simple logo structure and absence of fragrance of the new Teal 30 as a tribute to the original. It’s even just one color, a basic teal pearl.
